We’ve been holidaying on Ile de Ré since 2003, this summer we treated ourselves to a week in Galathée. Arriving at Galathée at 5pm on a Saturday late August after an early 4.45 am wake up we were excited but tired. The bottle of Rosé in the fridge took the edge off and was a great welcoming touch. Valerie met us and showed us round the delightful space that is Galathée. The house is perfectly situated just a short stroll from the Market and little supermarket but also the restaurants on the port. The facilities are excellent, best Bathrooms/Shower facilities we’ve experienced in France! We had a memorable week and are already planning our return, You will be pleasantly surprised in Galathée.
